Letter 1: To Accommodation Officer

You have been offered a place at a university and wish to find suitable accommodation. Write a letter to the accommodation officer including the following information:
The type of accommodation you wish to find, some details about yourself, any special requirements you may have, and any other relevant information.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I recently got admission to your university in M.Sc. Sociology course, starting this February, and am writing to you with regard to arranging for hostel accommodation. My student registration number is MSC1011.

Sir, my permanent place of residence is 200 km away from the university therefore I would require accommodation near campus if not within the premises. It would be difficult for me to manage more than 30$ rent per week so I am willing to live off-campus too. I have my own bicycle to travel to and forth from university so please do not include the cost of bus travel as I would not be using that anyway.

I do not mind living in a shared room but would prefer to have roommates from my department or course which could be a great help in my studies. I myself am a good cook, so if there is a kitchen facility available I would like to cook for myself as I am not used to dining outside frequently.

I would be highly obliged if you could send me details of two or three choices taking my budget and food constraints into account at your earliest convenience.
